NOBLE HOUSE HOTELS AND RESORTS APPOINTS ERIC SATHER GENERAL MANAGER OF THE WATERCOLOR INN AND RESORT
Santa Rosa Beach, FL (January 15, 2008) – Seattle-based Noble House Hotels & Resorts announces the appointment of Eric Sather to general manager of its newest property in its collection, the WaterColor Inn and Resort on Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Bringing over 20 years of hotel and vacation home ownership experience to the position, Sather will be responsible for all facets of daily operations of the beachside resort, overseeing the 60-room AAA Four Diamond WaterColor Inn and the management of 150 luxury condominiums and homes in WaterColor and WaterSound Beach’s vacation rental programs.
“Eric’s strong leadership skills and broad operational and financial management experience handling upscale resorts with complex condominium rental programs, made him the perfect general manager for this diverse property. We’re thrilled to have him on board and leading the WaterColor team,” said Noble House President Greg Champion.
Prior to his new appointment, Sather was general manager of The Peaks Resort and Golden Door Spa in Telluride, CO. Demonstrating great versatility during his tenure there, he lead the ski resort’s re-opening following an eight-month closure for renovations. He also served as the president of the Peaks Owners Association and as a board member of the Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association.
Previously, under Sather’s general manager direction at Robert Redford’s Sundance Resort, the resort received several top industry awards from the likes of Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure. Prior to this, Sather spent nine years with Dolce International serving in management positions at several of the company’s upscale hotels including the Oak Brook Hills Resort in the suburbs of Chicago, DFW Lakes Hilton outside of Dallas, the Lakeway Resort in Austin, TX and The Aspen Meadows Resort in Aspen, CO.
Sather received his Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, with a specialization in marketing from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. He has served as a member of the board of directors for the Colorado Hotel & Lodging Association, as well as on committees with the International Association of Conference Centers. Sather resides in Santa Rosa Beach with his wife Dia and their two children.
